Now, even Skyrim is old (even though it has aged reasonably well) and games like Morrowind start feeling more like playing an old DOS game something you still do despite the graphics. Still I didn't return to it since I got used to the newer graphics and systems and I was afraid that the game would feel very aged in comparison, since let's face it's an old game form the time 3d was taking off and also had a very clunky interface. But, even while I acknowledge the great gameplay, visuals and content both official and brought by modders I always felt that Morrowind was the superior game due to the setting and plot. While I dabbled with Arena without knowing too much about the franchise my first proper introduction to Elder Scrolls was with Morrowind, and while I never finished the game properly I was in awe, specially at the setting and lore (the mechanics, eh, although some of them were interesting) Then I skipped Oblivion because I lacked a decent computer that could run it and when I got one.Skyrim happened, and played that one to hell and back. I'm kind of nostalgic and, after seeing a lot of gameplay/retrospective videos in YT about Morrowind I'm want to play it again.
